Sustainable Urban Extension

South Hindley Urban Village

In partnership with Wigan Council, Peel L&P are planning to deliver a sustainable urban extension at South Hindley, providing much needed family homes and employment opportunities.  The new community will be integrated with neighbouring Leyland Park which will be improved with new facilities and access routes.  The area will be well connected with existing sustainable transport routes with good connections to the countryside to the south and west as part of the wider Greenheart park.

The development itself is set in around 112 hectares and will provide up to 2000 well-designed family homes using quality materials.  It will be located to the south of the town of Hindley, bounded by Low Hall Park and Liverpool Road on the west, housing to the north and former railway line to the south.
